I'm working on a cherry side table for my cousin's kitchen, and they want a comfortable rounded concave chamfered edge like the one on my Uplift desk. The table top is 18x60" and I've got some ideas on how to achieve this, but I'm not sure about the right tools to use. A hand plane seems inadequate given the curve, so I'm thinking about a spoke shave, although mine's an old one that I haven't managed to tune up properly. I can use a jigsaw for the initial curve, but how do I get the chamfered edge after that? Any advice?

For an edge profile like that, I’d recommend definitely using a router. It's great for these kinds of curves and can give you that smooth chamfer. A roundover bit should work wonders once you've jigsawed the initial curve!
Yeah, routing is usually a go-to for curves. If you want to get really precise, consider picking up a router with variable speed settings.
