Getting Started on DIY Power Conditioner for Studio Monitors?

I'm interested in building a power conditioner specifically for my studio monitors. While I know there's already a lot of these devices out there, I'm a bit unsure on how to approach the design process. Since it's for personal use, should I look for existing schematics and designs for guidance? I have a basic principle in mind that I want to follow, but I'm hesitant about copying anything that's already been tried and tested. Would it be a good idea to do that? Also, I recently upgraded to Kali in-5 monitors after my previous ones, the Presonus Eris 3.5, broke down due to blown capacitors on the amplifier board. My plan is to run my new monitors on their own power board with a separate switch, so I can manage their power better than I did with my old setup. Is this a reasonable plan?

Construction of a power conditioner is typically complex and may not save you money. Before diving into building one, you might want to think about fixing your old studio monitors instead. They could be a good practice project! If you still want to create something, older forums have plans that could inspire you.

That’s a good point. I have some experience with smaller electronics projects, but I see your concern about messing around with expensive gear. I'll check out those forums!
