You could skip the tape altogether and just paint carefully using a good brush. It might be a bit tricky, but it's definitely doable. Plus, if the homeowner changed the plan, they should also cover any extra time you spend making the edges look clean!
Totally agree! Sometimes it's just easier to go with a brush. Plus, using a 12-inch drywall knife can help line the edges neatly without too much hassle.
