I have a bunch of leftover 1x6x8 and 1x8x8 lumber, and I'm trying to figure out how to use it effectively, particularly for garage storage or organization. I initially thought about building some shelves, but I'm also considering whether I could frame tall storage cabinets with this wood. What other projects could I take on with this leftover material?

It sounds like you've got some good options! Building shelves is definitely a popular choice, and it's super functional. However, if you're leaning towards something like cabinets, I'd say go for it! Just make sure you get the dimensions right, and you should be able to frame them out nicely. Just keep it all organized, and you'll have a great setup!
What type of wood do you have? If it's pine (like mine) you could even make some cool A-Chairs out of it. I recently followed Norm Abram's plans to make some, and they turned out great!
