I just removed the soffit in my kitchen and came across some wiring that needs to be moved behind drywall or cement board since I'm installing cabinets. However, it seems like there's not enough flexibility to push the wires back there. Does anyone have suggestions on how to handle this situation?

Before doing anything, check to see what type of cables you're dealing with, especially the white one – it might be Romex. If they’re indeed all electrical, just cutting them is not the best plan without adding junction boxes to extend the circuits. Make sure to trace them back to see if they’re stamped with their type, so you know you're dealing with the right wires.
It looks like you've got quite a few cables in that space! If they appear to be coax or Ethernet cables, you might need to replace them with longer ones. One option could be to add junction boxes to extend the cables, but the best approach really depends on your house's layout. If you're unsure about doing this yourself, it might be best to call in a local electrician for help.
