Are My Paint Samples and Gallon the Same Color?

Hey everyone, I picked up a sample of a color called 'color to go' from Sherwin-Williams and thought it looked great on the wall. I returned to buy a gallon, but now I'm worried that the color doesn't match the sample at all. The formula on the gallon looks different than the sample. Am I losing my mind and just imagining this? Here's some photos for reference: [link to photos]. You can see the difference with and without flash, as well as the labels for both the sample and the gallon.

Honestly, you're not going crazy. It’s pretty common for paint colors to look different, especially between swatches, samples, and final gallons. Just go ahead and paint the wall and you might see it looks better than you think!

It might be darker because of a mixing issue. Sometimes, all it takes is to add a couple drops of white to get it closer to your sample color. Definitely worth a shot!

Are you sure you're comparing wet paint to dry paint? Wet paint can look quite different. Give it some time to dry, like an hour, before making any decisions.
