Hey everyone! I'm based in Australia and I'm planning to renovate my place. Currently, my house has hardly any powerpoints—none in the bedrooms and only one in the living room. I'm looking to convert a bedroom sized 4.2 x 3.8m into my main living area while keeping the other two rooms as bedrooms for my housemates. For those of you who've done renovations or rewiring, I'd love your advice on how many powerpoints I should add in total and what would be the best placement for them. Thanks!

When adding powerpoints, consider placing them a couple of feet from each corner on every wall. This way, you have easy access without them being completely blocked by furniture. You’ll probably want more than the minimum required by code, so you don’t have to deal with extension cords every time you rearrange things.
If you're working with standard studded drywall, routing the wires isn’t too bad. You might want to check out this video for some tips on installation: [Watch this](https://youtu.be/nWfEANZOYSk?si=YkZsqfa1GJjRNt0R). It could really help with your project!
It’s important to think about the construction of your house when deciding on placement. Is it double brick? That could affect where you can put the outlets. Just something to keep in mind!
