I'm gearing up to build a 10x12 shed and it's the perfect excuse to swap out my old corded Skil saw for a cordless model. I'm particularly looking for the best deal on a Milwaukee circular saw, probably around 7-1/4 inches. I'm not a pro contractor, just a DIY enthusiast who believes in the philosophy of 'buy once, cry once' when it comes to tools. However, I also want to avoid paying full retail price! Any suggestions?

Have you thought about the M12 circular saw? It's currently going for $91 if you have batteries already, or $159 with a free 5.0 battery. It's super lightweight, making it easy to handle for single-handed cuts. Plus, it performs well with framing lumber and really shines on long cuts with sheets. I used to dread my old corded saw, but the M12 has changed my experience completely!
Also, if weight is a concern for you, the M12 6.5 saw is even lighter and has a left-side blade which is quite handy. Although it can't cut 2x4s at a 45-degree angle like the M18, it rips through plywood effortlessly and is great for 90-degree cuts. If you're primarily working with sheets, it’s worth checking out!
If you're eyeing the M18 Fuel 7-1/4 circular saw, there’s a nice deal going. You can get it for about $151.92 if you return the bundle you mentioned and just focus on the saw. It could save you around $100! This would be a solid investment for your shed project without breaking the bank.
