Hey everyone! I'm currently in a bit of a bind trying to change the flooring in my basement. The issue is that there's vinyl sheet flooring glued directly to the concrete, and I've been scraping away at it for a while now. It's such a tough job! I was originally hoping to just strip it and paint the concrete instead, but I'm wondering if I should keep scraping or if there's a simpler way to cover up this messy situation.

It might not be the cheapest option, but I think the best way to go could be to just float another type of flooring on top of the existing vinyl. It looks pretty rough, and that might save you a lot of hassle!
Why not stop scraping and just lay some ceramic tile over it? That could be a solid solution! But make sure to level everything before you start tiling.
Have you considered using hot water? I’ve found it can really help loosen up glue when dealing with vinyl flooring.
