I just bought the M12 Fuel 3/8 high speed ratchet from Home Depot, and it came with two batteries and a charger. I'm now considering returning it because a newer model is coming out in January. Is anyone else planning on doing the same?

It's still a bit away until January. Do you really need the ratchet right now? If you do, I would say keep it because it was a solid deal. If not, maybe go ahead and return it.
Why not do both? You could keep this one for now and get the new model when it releases!
I'm not in the same exact spot, but my 1/4" extended high speed ratchet is starting to show its age. I'm thinking about just getting the new one for work, especially since the new high-speed models look great!
The new model is about $50 more if you skip the 5.0 ho batteries, I believe. I've heard $229 just for the tool. I like the upgrades they've made!
I have both the high speed and the extended version, and I use them all the time. If you're going to use the tool, why wait for the new one? But I see your reasoning!
