How Should I Lay My 15″ x 30″ Tiles in This Room?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to lay down 15" x 30" rectangular tiles in my unit, which includes the whole bottom floor—bedroom, bathrooms, and closets. Should I lay the tiles perpendicular or parallel to the longer wall? I've included a floor plan for reference. Thanks for any input!

Going parallel is a good choice! You might also want to consider how you’ll stagger the tiles. There are several ways to do it—like half offset or a 1/3 offset. Have you thought about that yet?

Okay! I'm thinking 1/3 offset. Would I get a staircase look if I did that?

I suggest laying the tiles with the 30" edge running parallel to the longer side of the room. It generally looks better that way!

Thank you for the tip!
