I recently purchased a budget walnut coffee table for my apartment, and it's quite different from my inherited teak furniture. The walnut table has a noticeably darker brown color, and I'm looking for ways to adjust its hue to better align with the warmer tones of my teak pieces. I've been considering using a spray toner or something similar to add a bit of orange to the wood. Any advice on how to achieve this would be appreciated!

Honestly, if that coffee table is really walnut, refinishing it might be a huge hassle—especially if it's made from engineered wood or a veneer. The odd surfaces make sanding evenly a nightmare, and you might end up making it look worse. I really wouldn't recommend going down that road.
Instead of trying to alter the color with sprays or stains, I suggest putting the table in direct sunlight for a while. Natural light can really help mellow the walnut from a chocolatey brown to a nicer, deeper honey tone over time. It's a simpler solution that might give you the vibe you’re going for!
