I've been struggling with my indoor basil plants and it feels like they're always needing extra care. It's such an emotional rollercoaster! I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this and what tips you might have for successfully growing basil indoors.

Basil can be tricky both indoors and outdoors. They have such a narrow comfort zone. Lack of light is a real issue indoors, and outside, they can bolt fast if it gets too hot. I've found that keeping an eye on the heat and light conditions is crucial, especially for longer life.
I totally get where you're coming from! My basil thrives until summer when it suddenly decides to die on me. I suspect it's getting too much sun since other plants do well. I'm considering a hydroponic herb garden with lights for better control. Fresh basil really makes a difference for dishes like spaghetti!
I've had some success with basil lately by moving it to a bigger pot and watering it only when it really needs it. The key was also finding a sunny window with direct light. My current plant is about six months old and seems to be doing much better than my previous attempts!
