I'm considering residing my house, built in 1996, and need some advice on siding and windows. My house wasn't wrapped during construction, and I want to know about the experiences of others with these products. Specifically, I'm looking at siding options like LP SmartSide, Hardie, and Vinyl, and for windows, I'm considering Andersen, Hansons, and Pella. Any recommendations or insights?

I would recommend LP siding and Pella windows. They perform really well and I've had a solid experience with them. Just keep in mind that if you go with LP, wrapping the house could help with performance and durability!

Thanks for that tip! Do you think wrapping is essential for LP?

I've had great luck with Hardie siding and Andersen windows. Trust me, they're top-notch. Just be cautious with LP because it has had its share of issues, and I'd recommend digging deeper into why people suggest their products. Always ask for evidence before accepting recommendations!

Appreciate the insight! My dad sold Andersen, so I see where you're coming from.
