Hey everyone! I'm feeling the urge to get an impact wrench. I probably don't really need one, but I have some gift cards from Lowe's thanks to my business, and I want to treat myself. I need something that can handle lug nuts on my 3/4 ton truck and possibly other tasks that come up, but nothing too heavy-duty. I've been considering the DCF891 because it seems versatile, but I also have an M12 line and was eyeing their stubby impact wrench. I just don't think it's powerful enough for stubborn lugs. Any recommendations?

The DCF921 might be the perfect fit for you! It's compact but still packs a punch for lug nuts. A lot of folks find it really useful for tight spaces too. Just remember, I've had it struggle on some really rusty lugs, but for most of the time, it gets the job done!
I've been really happy with my DCF891, it's done everything I’ve thrown at it. Haven't found a bolt on my car that it can't zip off, so definitely consider it if you want reliability!
If you're looking for a solid single impact, I highly recommend the DCF900. It's a beast! I use it with a 60V flex battery, and it tears through anything. But for light-duty tasks like car maintenance, something like the DCF891 or DCF892 might be a better fit. They're lighter and easier to handle without sacrificing too much power.
Totally agree on the DCF900! If you need to pack some serious power, that one's the way to go.
Exactly! But for your needs, I think the 891 or 892 should serve you well too.

Thanks for the tip! I guess it might still be worth having a backup just in case.
