How Long Should I Wait to Water My Succulents After Repotting?

I just repotted my succulents a day ago since it's finally spring, and I'm wondering if I should water them now or wait a bit since it's pretty hot outside. What's the best practice for watering after repotting?

I usually wait at least four days after repotting to let any damaged roots callous and give some new roots a chance to grow before watering again.

I'll definitely wait a few days. Thanks for the advice!

Waiting a few days is generally a good idea to let any root breaks heal and to help the roots settle in. Only water if the plant looks thirsty. Just keep in mind that different succulents have different needs!

Succulent plants are great at storing water in their leaves, so they do well with deep soaks after letting the soil dry out. Check out the watering tips in the wiki for more info!

I typically hold off for a week before watering after repotting, unless the plants look super thirsty beforehand. It’s mostly around 7+ days for me unless the soil dries out quickly.

I waited until the soil was mostly dry to repot them, not bone dry. Definitely giving them a few days before watering.
