My wife and I are trying to decide on the color and material for our steps and walkway. We're leaning towards Cambridge or Nicolock pavers, but we're also considering bluestone or other natural stones. We're hoping to use a single solid piece for the stair treads instead of several smaller pavers, which might complicate things depending on the color we choose. Our house siding has a slight green tint, though I'm not sure if that shows in the linked picture. I'm open to all kinds of design suggestions—thanks in advance! I think bluestone would be an awesome choice! It not only gives you the solid treads you want, but it also looks fantastic. For the walkway, you could mix in smaller bluestone or slate pavers in a fun pattern. Sure, it might dig a little deeper into your wallet, but it's definitely worth it for the overall look!
A fun tip I shared with a friend was to let your wife pick three colors, and if there's one you really can't stand, just say, "Anyone but that one!" It keeps the peace and makes the choice a bit easier! But it seems you both might be struggling with agreeing on colors. Definitely keep looking for a shade that meshes well with your green siding; it could totally change the vibe of your space!
Yeah, we're in a bit of a color standoff right now—she doesn't vibe with my picks either. But I bet there's a perfect color that works, which is why I'm seeking advice online.

I personally love the look of bluestone treads too, but my wife isn't quite sold on that idea.
