Hey everyone! I'm planning to set up a proper home office in my garden in Cork for year-round use since I work in tech and need a comfortable space for long days. I'm interested in the 10x10 OMG garden room from Shed Factory Ireland; it's priced at €5,720 with free installation included. Here are some specs that I found interesting: 74mm walls with a 50mm AirTech insulation cavity, double-glazed PVC windows and door, and EPDM rubber roofing with a 40-year guarantee. My main concerns are about insulation for Cork winters, any additional equipment I might need beyond a dehumidifier, experiences from others with Shed Factory, and if there are alternative suppliers I should consider that offer similar pricing but better insulation or build quality. I'm also thinking of upgrading to foam floor tiles for an extra €260, and the free installation is a big plus for me. Would love any insights from folks using a garden office year-round in Ireland. Cheers!

Definitely check out the insulation specs for the roof too; that’s crucial. If you want a semi-permanent setup, prepare for costs to possibly double when you consider everything, especially for a good foundation and insulation. Good luck!
I've never dealt with Shed Factory Ireland, but I can give you a heads up on the installation. Make sure you read the fine print, especially about the foundation; a shed like that usually needs a solid base like a concrete slab or deck footings. If they don’t include that, you're going to have to sort it out yourself. Good luck with your setup!

Absolutely! And don't forget that the base needs insulation too, at least 100mm PIR. I've been in Ireland long enough to say 50mm just won't cut it for year-round comfort. The humidity here is no joke!
