Is my new vinyl siding improperly installed?

I just had new vinyl siding installed, but I've noticed some strange things. When I checked underneath, it doesn't seem to be sealed, and I can feel the foam board beneath the siding. Is this normal, or is it an indication of a botched installation?

From my experience working at Vizion Windows in Houston, this might be an improper installation if you're feeling foam board underneath. It's best to have a pro take a look at it.

If it is a bad installation, do I need to completely tear it down to fix it, or can it be repaired?

A full teardown might not be necessary, but you'll want to consult with a professional!

Vinyl siding usually doesn't seal completely. It might be worth sharing some pictures so we can better see what's going on!

I'll post a video tomorrow! Right now, when I touch under the vinyl, it feels like foam board.

You could just check the manufacturer's guidelines too!
