I recently bought the M18 Fuel Hackzall mainly to tackle cutting small tree branches and potentially for other projects in the future. However, after reading various experiences from other users, I'm feeling unsure about its performance. I really like the fact that it can be used one-handed and has multiple functions. Still, I'm worried about it breaking down on me. Plus, I got a free 5AH battery as a promotional deal from Home Depot, which adds to my dilemma.

I've used the Hackzall in an industrial setting, and it cuts through all sorts of things like 2" black pipe, tree branches, and even metal without any issues. Don't sweat it; it should serve you well for small branches!
What's the thickest branch you've cut? Did the saw heat up at all?
