I recently inherited my grandma's precious jade plant, which is around 30 years old and in a sizeable 10-15 gallon pot. I need to transport it approximately 90 miles from her house to mine. I'm planning to use some tie-downs to secure the pot, but I'm looking for additional suggestions on how to minimize any potential damage during the move. I've considered adding newspapers or bubble wrap underneath the lower branches for extra protection. I'll try to share a picture when I pick it up this week!

Putting your jade in a box sounds like a smart idea! It’ll help keep it upright and prevent it from shifting. Make sure to add plenty of padding around the pot for extra stability. Also, you might want to create a kind of footwell in the box to secure it even more.
I think wrapping the branches and leaves with poly-fill would be a good move! It’s commonly used by sellers to protect plants during shipping, so it should help keep your jade safe during your trip. Just make sure everything is snug but not too tight!
You're so lucky to inherit a jade plant like that! I was super bummed when I didn’t get my grandmother's jade when she moved. Just be extra gentle with it while loading and unloading, and it should be alright!
