Is Adhesive Vinyl Flooring a Good Temporary Solution for My Apartment?

Hey everyone! I just bought an apartment and I'm doing it up little by little. The original floor is terrazzo, and while I save for a major renovation, I'm considering putting down adhesive vinyl flooring in the hallway, dining room, bathroom, and bedrooms—about 70-80m2 total. Do you think this is a good idea? I might be able to save for a bigger renovation in 5-6 years or even move if I need more space, so I'm not sure whether it's worth it.

You know, adhesive vinyl doesn’t have to be viewed as just temporary. Have you considered LVP "click" flooring? It might be a little more in price upfront but could offer better durability and could ease your future renovations.

Yep, checking that out! I'm looking for something cheaper to fix the worn-down floor for now. Is it really a long-lasting solution?

Honestly, adhesive vinyl can last around 5-6 years, but it's not super durable. I wouldn't recommend it for the dining room since it can easily get damaged, especially if something sharp falls on it. It might not hold up well over time, just a heads up!

Gotcha! Is there a less fragile option out there that might work better?

Lol, I doubt a little water is a big issue in the dining room! But still, good to be cautious.
