How to Seal the Meeting Area of My Shower Tile and Stone Floor?

I have a shower where the tile walls meet a stone floor, and I've noticed that the seal is wearing out. I'm looking for advice on how to fix this issue. The only practical solution I've come across is to remove the old seal and apply a 100% silicone caulk. Does anyone have other suggestions or tips?

Using 100% silicone caulk is a great idea! It’s flexible and won’t break down as quickly. Make sure the area is clean before applying it to get the best seal.

Have you thought about using tinted silicone caulk? It can match the color of your grout or tile, making it look more seamless!

You might want to double-check if it's grout that's wearing away instead of caulk. Many installers suggest using caulk at any change of plane, but sometimes grout can actually work better since it dries thoroughly and minimizes mold issues. If it is grout, touching it up could be the way to go; if it’s caulk, a good clean and reapplication is definitely in order.

Those are good suggestions! I’m planning to clean it up tomorrow and take a closer look.
