I personally lean towards mortises! There's something incredibly satisfying about chopping a neat mortise with a pigsticker. It just feels so rewarding to get it right!
Honestly, I'm a bit nervous about tackling both mortises and tenons. I've done some projects but still haven't dared to try these cuts yet. I'm hoping that one day I can just start with something inexpensive and practice on it!
Exactly! Just grab some cheap wood, make a few mistakes, and learn from them. It’s all part of the process!
