I'm on the hunt for a cool houseplant to spruce up my room! I've been eyeing dragon trees (dracaena marginata), but I'm not sure if they'd do well in my space. Here are my requirements: I need a plant that doesn't require a ton of direct sunlight (though I can set up a plant lamp), likes warmer temperatures (around 25°C or more), and ideally, something that stays relatively small—around a meter tall or something I can prune to keep it that size. The nearby IKEA has dragon trees, but I'm unsure if they would thrive without a lamp.

Consider a ZZ plant! They're pretty tough and handle low light really well, plus they have a nice silhouette. Mine is still growing strong after 5 years!
If you're looking for something low-maintenance, I'd suggest pothos! They thrive in a variety of conditions, don’t need much light, and come in different varieties. My favorite is called N'Joy!
You might want to check out a mother-in-law's tongue (also called snake plant)! They tend to do great even if you forget to water them occasionally. Perfect for someone who might not have a green thumb!
Oh totally! Sounds like a solid option. Can anyone prune them easily? I've seen some massive ones at the zoo and wonder how to keep them small!
Yeah, you can definitely just cut the leaves! They've got a lot of room for that.

That sounds awesome! I can picture one trailing from my shelf—it would look amazing!
