How Should I Position My House Numbers When My Garage Isn’t Centered?

I'm facing a bit of a dilemma with the placement of my house numbers. The garage doors aren't centered under my roofline, and aligning the numbers with the doors makes everything look a little off. My address is four digits long, so it's not small either! What's the best way to position the numbers so they look good and are visible from the street? I’d suggest putting the numbers on the larger left side—maybe 4/5ths up the door. It's important that they’re visible from the street, so if that spot doesn't work, adjust accordingly. You could also place them just above the door trim on either the left or right side.

Here's what I think: if the numbers are closer to the lower part of the garage, center them over the doors. If they're higher up, align them with the roofline instead. It really depends on the sightlines from the street!

Good point! Plus, I've noticed some lights don’t shine well on certain areas, so pick a spot where they'll be easily seen at night.

You might want to try placing the house numbers vertically on the left or right side of the doors. For example, if your address is 1234, you could display it like this:

1
2
3
4
This way, it’ll look visually balanced!
