Hey fellow Dewalt fans! With hunting season approaching, I'm curious if any of you use Dewalt's heated gear while hunting from a stand. I've been considering getting either a heated hoodie or jacket for those long sits, but I'm on the fence. I have plenty of batteries and room in my pack, but I'm unsure how effective they are for this purpose. Any thoughts or personal experiences would be super helpful! Thanks!

I've been using a Dewalt 'Lightweight Soft-Shell Heated Jacket' for four years now. On medium heat, a 4AH battery can last about 8 hours, which is great! I layer it under my hunting hoodie, and when it’s really cold outside (below 30F), I throw on an additional jacket for extra warmth.
Sounds like a good plan for the cold! I might need to try layering like that.
Thanks for all the insight, everyone! Super helpful to hear your experiences. Might just have to give the jacket a shot!
I've tried a heated jacket in the past but found it drained batteries way too quickly, almost to the point where they were unusable afterward. It's been a while, though, so maybe the newer models are better!
While I’m not a hunter, I did use heated gear during some brutal winters. I had the first jacket model, and it was bulky, but the heat made it worth it. Just a heads-up, the batteries can die on you, but Dewalt replaced mine for free under warranty, which was nice!
I used the heated gear while ice fishing last year, and it kept me really comfortable! Definitely helps, especially when you’re out in the cold for long periods.

That sounds solid! Layering is key, especially in the colder months.
