What’s the Best Way to Move Paver Stones Up a Hill?

I need to move about 50 paver stones up a slope that's around 100 feet long. Unfortunately, I can't get a trailer down to the area. I was thinking of using a heavy-duty tarp to load them on and then pulling it uphill with my Jeep's hitch and some wire. I'm not sure if that'll work or if the tarp will end up getting damaged. I'm open to other suggestions as I need to do something similar with a pile of scrap lumber too.

If it’s feasible, throwing the pavers straight into your Jeep and driving them up would save you a ton of effort. It should only take about 30 minutes to get everything moved, as long as you can access the area with the vehicle.

I hear you, but the problem is I can't get a vehicle down there.

You might want to consider using a skid steer or a tractor, especially if the incline is steep. If you can get your hands on a container with wheels, that would make it way easier to move those pavers. You could also check if a buddy has a Bobcat with tracks—it would definitely help!

Bobcat with tracks! That's a solid idea.

Thanks! I just had a chat with ChatGPT, and it suggested using plywood with 2x4s underneath as skis to pull the pavers up. I'm going to give that a shot and let you guys know how it goes!

You can always rent a motorized wheelbarrow—it’ll make transporting those heavy stones a whole lot easier!
