I've come across a drywall supplier listing on a marketplace, but something feels off. They're located on the other side of the country, and after I reached out for pricing, they asked me to send my needs to a cell number. When I did, the reply was just 'ok, give me your address and code'. I hesitated and mentioned that I was only shopping for quotes. They then called me from a different number and quoted $1400 for over 100 sheets of drywall to be delivered directly to my home. They insisted I wouldn't need to pay until after delivery, and I could hand cash to the delivery guys. However, they refused to take any payment info upfront, saying they would guide me on how to pay after I received the product. The price seemed suspiciously low compared to other suppliers. I'm wondering if I'm just overthinking this or if there's something I really should be concerned about.

Yeah, this has all the classic signs of a scam. They want you to give personal details without verifying who they are, plus the low price is a big warning. Just be careful!
Honestly, if you're questioning it, that’s a red flag right there. The whole situation feels sketchy—especially with them wanting cash and being so far away. It screams scam to me.
That’s what I was thinking! Seems way too good to be true.
It definitely sounds like a potential scam. Giving cash after delivery is one thing, but not having any way to confirm the order or company is really risky. I wouldn’t proceed without more guarantees.

Thanks for the advice! I think I’ll steer clear.
