Hey everyone! I'm curious about creating furniture that's built to last. How do you figure out the best angles for legs to make them sturdy? What's the right width or thickness for an apron to do its job effectively? Also, do you have any recommended reference materials or resources for a beginner? Thanks a lot!

I’m with you on this, I’d rather build something sturdier than risk it collapsing! If you’re unsure, consider looking up some online courses or check out books on furniture design. Learning from existing pieces can be super helpful too!
Honestly, you could go all out and get a degree in structural engineering, or you could just dive in and start building something! I personally lean towards overbuilding—especially since I'm a bigger guy. My wife keeps reminding me that while my stuff works, it could be a bit prettier. So, it's good to find that balance!

For sure! I always prefer to overbuild my tables too. It’s better to have something that won’t break under pressure, right?
