I'm considering buying a 4 1/2in or 5in Milwaukee grinder, but I'm unsure about the differences between the Fuel and non-Fuel versions. Both models seem to be lithium-ion and brushless with paddle switches. Is the Fuel really worth the extra money compared to the regular brushless model?

Haha, just to clarify, the Fuel version doesn't actually run on gas! But seriously, I've noticed that brushless tools, including the Fuel ones, tend to last 2-3 times longer than brushed models. So if longevity is a concern, it might be worth the investment.
Totally agree! If you can catch a sale, I'd definitely recommend going for the Fuel model, especially if you're planning to use it frequently. I've had a regular grinder for years, and it worked, but I found I needed something more powerful for tougher jobs.
The main things to consider are torque and battery efficiency. If you're just doing casual DIY projects, the regular brushless should serve you well. But if you're planning to use it in a more demanding, professional setting, the Fuel model is a better choice.
