Hey everyone, I have a bit of a plant predicament here. My plants are thriving and need bigger pots, but those larger pots can't fit on my window sills, which is where I want them to be. The reason I want them there is that the rest of my space is taken up by larger plants that require indirect light, and honestly, I need some furniture in my rooms too!
I could take cuttings to keep them smaller, but I love how big and beautiful they've gotten. Also, I'm curious about how to take cuttings from a coffee plant (coffea arabica) or a camphor tree (cinnamomum camphora).
Moving isn't an option since I just relocated five months ago, and I can't make more holes for additional windows.
So, how do I deal with this growth? Is there a way to keep them at their current size, or manage their growth without compromising my space?

I totally get where you're coming from! I have a spiderwort that I constantly trim. Whenever it tries to take over the windowsill, I just chop it back and share the cuttings with friends, then it goes back into the pot nice and compact.
I don't have any concrete solutions, but I feel your struggle. It seems like every plant shelf I see online has only tiny plants, which doesn't help when yours are outgrowing gracefully! It’s a real challenge to find a balance.
One option is to root prune your plants. It sounds complicated, but it can help keep them from getting too big! Alternatively, you could invest in some plant stands that fit right by the windowsill, letting you maximize your space without moving everything around.
You might try using suction cup shower holders to hang some smaller pots on your bathroom window or elsewhere! Just be cautious about weight; you'd want to ensure they’re secure. Good luck, and keep us posted! ?
Haha, my Pothos is fully committed to its prime hanging pot in the bathroom. In fact, the orchids are giving me the side-eye from their shower shelf! I appreciate the suggestion though!

I'll definitely check into root pruning! But seriously, all my available space is already occupied by plants. It's a jungle in here! ?
