Is it safe to use cold chicken and onion broth on my lawn?

Hey everyone! I made some broth using chicken bones and onion peelings a while back for pasta (which turned out great, by the way!). It's been sitting in the fridge and I don't plan to use it anymore. I'm wondering if it would be good or bad for my grass if I poured it out on the lawn?

I wouldn't recommend using it. Chicken can attract bacteria pretty quickly, especially if it's sitting around, and the last thing you want is to spread that on your lawn. Just to give you some background, when I worked at a meat processing plant, we found that chicken juice tested positive for bacteria growth more than any other meat, so best to avoid it!

If you added any salt while making the broth, it could really harm your grass. Salt can dehydrate the soil and plants, and that's not what you want for a healthy lawn. So, keep that stuff off your grass!
