Should I Start Rosemary from Seeds or Buy a Plant?

Hey fellow gardening enthusiasts! I'm just diving into gardening and I'm keen on keeping everything as organic as I can. I've spotted a non-organic rosemary plant at Home Depot that looks healthy, but I'm wondering if it's better to start from organic seeds instead. My goal is to grow a massive rosemary plant like the one my mother-in-law has, which has thrived for over 20 years! How fast does rosemary grow from seed? Is it wiser to go with the established plant? Thanks for your tips! ?

Honestly, going organic doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting something superior. A lot of the organic labels are just marketing, and when it comes to rosemary, it’s not one of the 'dirty dozen,' so you're fine buying a plant from wherever. Just grab a healthy one and get it into good soil at home!

True, rosemary itself isn’t on the Dirty Dozen, but I like to keep in mind that the list exists for a reason — some pesticides are linked to health issues. For me, choosing organic is about reducing exposure and caring for the environment, even if there’s no major difference in growth. Thanks for your perspective!
