Hey everyone! I'm trying to swap out my old shower head, but it's being a real pain to remove. I've given it a good twist and even tried using some jaw pliers, but it still won't come off. Does anyone have tips or tricks that might help? Here's a pic for reference: https://imgur.com/a/0oCq1PE

WD40 or another penetrating oil should really help. I had a bad experience with pliers chewing up the hexagon base on mine, so try twisting it to the left and see if that helps!
You might want to try using two pairs of pliers—one on the shower head and another on the pipe. Twist them in opposite directions to get it loose. If it’s really stuck, a blast of WD40 can help break up any rust that might be holding it in place.
Definitely go with a pipe wrench on the pipe instead of pliers. Just wrap a rag around it if you want to protect the finish!

What ToolTimeTina said is spot on. Depending on what tools you’ve got, pipe wrenches or even Vice Grips can do the trick. Just be careful not to over-tighten!
