I've heard about tons of counterfeit XR and MAX batteries out there. I'm curious if anyone has seen fakes for the PowerStack batteries as well.

I think the real worry is that, while genuine PowerStack batteries are safe, a counterfeiter could just slap a PowerStack label onto some cheap 18650 cells. Most folks won't open up the battery packs to check what's inside, so it could happen eventually.
I get the concern about counterfeit tools, especially on sites like eBay. While there aren't confirmed fakes for the PowerStack batteries yet, be cautious with drill listings that look almost identical but are significantly cheaper. Often, they use stock photos and may send you something less than genuine. To avoid that, it’s best to buy from sellers who provide actual images of the tool for sale.
So far, no one has reported any fake PowerStack batteries. Given the complexity of the pouch cells, I really doubt we’ll see them anytime soon. It's kind of the same situation as the Powerpacks. They're too new and unique in design to be easily faked. The counterfeit market seems to go after the cheaper, more common batteries instead.
