Should I Keep My Center Light When I Have Wall Lights?

My partner and I are in the midst of renovating our living room, and we're stuck on a decision about lighting. I've installed wall lights around the room that provide great illumination, even better than our current center light. Since the wall lights are dimmable, it makes me wonder if we really need the center light, especially if we're not planning on using it much. Should we just scrap the center light altogether or is it worth buying a new one that lights up well? The living room isn't huge, measuring about 4x3 meters with a tall ceiling. What do you all think?

If your wall lights are doing the job and you like their style, you could definitely skip the center light. The center light gives a strong, bright option if you need it, but your dimmable wall lights offer better control for ambiance. In a room that size, wall lights should be sufficient.

If your wall lights are already giving good coverage, I'd recommend getting rid of the center light. We removed ours in the living room and honestly, we don't miss it at all! Dimmable wall lights create a much cozier atmosphere too.

I think it’s always nice to have multiple lighting options, especially when renovating. Consider installing recessed lights alongside your wall lights. This way, you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood, and it won't take up any physical space.
