I just moved into a flat with a bowl-shaped sink, and the tap barely extends past the edge. When I turn it on more than a trickle, the water splashes all over. It's also really cramped for washing my hands. Is there a way to extend the faucet without having to replace it, especially since I'm renting?

Absolutely, you can fix that without replacing the whole faucet! There are these little faucet extenders or aerators that easily screw onto the end of the spout, helping the water reach further without creating a splash zone. They’re usually pretty affordable and perfect for rental situations.
Faucet extenders are definitely a great solution! There are tons of options out there that are super inexpensive and you can just screw them onto your existing tap. It's an easy fix that usually only takes a minute or two.
Another quick hack is to zip tie a tube or pipe to your faucet. A lot of people have done this! You can find the materials in the plumbing section of any hardware store. Some even use plastic from a soda bottle for a DIY extender.
