Which Tool Should I Pick for Automotive Work: Stubby 1/2″ or High Torque Impact?

If you had to pick one tool for most of your automotive work, would you go with the stubby 1/2" impact featuring a 5.0 HO battery, or would you prefer the high torque M18 2967-20 model with a 2.0 CP battery? And, if you could only select one 3/8" ratchet, would you choose the brushed version or the brushless one?

I'd definitely lean towards the stubby with the 5.0 battery. It feels more convenient compared to the high torque model, plus the M18 Mid Gen2 is really the best overall option for impacts. As for ratchets, I would suggest the 3/8" brushless model—it's a solid choice!

Do you really think having both the M12 1/2" with a 5.0 and the M18 1/2" mid torque is a good idea?
