How Much Should I Expect to Pay for Laminate Flooring Installation?

I'm planning to install laminate flooring in a large lounge diner measuring 32ft x 19.5ft. I've already purchased the laminate, underlay, and all necessary accessories. Before the fitters arrive, my husband and I will handle pulling up and disposing of the carpet ourselves. I have no clue about how long the installation will take or what a fair price would be. Any insights or estimates on what this job might cost would be greatly appreciated!

It's a good idea to get three quotes from local floor fitters since prices can vary a lot based on where you live. If it's just one room, the job should typically take about a day. But if you're covering multiple rooms, it could take a couple of days. Don't worry too much if you're unsure about the costs; I bet you'll find some options that fit your budget!

Thanks for the advice! It's nice to know that it could be done in a day.

To find fitters, check online for local listings or ask around in your area to get recommendations. I can totally understand wanting to set a budget ahead of time. Depending on where you are, the cost can range a lot, but you might be looking at around £500 to £1500 for a job like this. If you’re unsure, definitely reach out to some fitters for quotes to help you plan better!
