I'm looking for advice on how to add a hookable structure to my concrete garage floor that is flush with the surface. I want to be able to use a small spring hook without anything sticking out. I only have a regular drill and a range of concrete drill bits, and I'd like to keep the cost down. I've searched online but didn't find much, so any tips on that would also be appreciated!

To install a flush hook, you'll need to create a cavity for something like a D-ring. You can use a concrete anchor and screw in an eyebolt when you need it—just remove it when you don't have to worry about it sticking out. This method may require a bit of work, but it keeps everything flat.
If you're securing something, make sure you have a hammer drill for this. You could install a threaded drop-in anchor and then use an eye bolt when you need it. This way, when it’s not in use, you can keep it covered to avoid debris getting in. Just make sure to mark your spot for drilling!
I meant to say hammer drill, but it doesn’t have to be perfect. I need to secure a tarp over my motorcycle to keep it safe from wind and rain. I can’t just leave anything sticking up or someone might trip over it.
I searched 'pad eye flush concrete floor' and found some great examples. A padeye is what they use on aircraft carriers to tie down planes, just like what you’re looking for. You can check out some options online and see if they fit your needs!
Thanks a ton!

Ohh! Might not be a perfect fit for my needs but I’m sure it’ll spark some ideas! Thanks!
