I have a stunning rubber plant (Fiscus Elastica Burgundy) that's nearly 6 feet tall and is currently thriving outside. However, it wasn't always this way—when I first got it, the bottom six leaves fell off, leaving the lower part of the plant looking somewhat sparse. Is there anything I can do to encourage new leaves to grow?
Additionally, I'm concerned about the upcoming winter since I won't have enough sunlight for the plant indoors. What steps should I take to protect it during the colder months to prevent any more leaf loss?

Is your rubber plant a single stem or does it have a tree-like structure with branches? That could help in finding a solution. Also, you might want to check out a guide I found on bringing houseplants indoors; it really covers everything you need to know for winter care!

Thanks for that! It’s just a single stem with leaves. Here's a picture for reference.
