I installed a new LED ceiling light in my bathroom, and while it came with wire nuts, I switched them out for Wago connectors for ease of use. However, I'm a bit concerned about the safety of having these connectors exposed to moisture since they aren't in an enclosure, just fitted snugly against the ceiling and the light fixture. Could this potentially lead to issues like water damage or even fires in the future?

According to the US National Electrical Code (NEC), all electrical connectors need to be within an enclosure. While your light fixture can serve as an enclosure for surface-mounted lights, it still requires proper housing.
