How Can I Maintain Humidity for My House Plants?

I've recently acquired some house plants and I'm trying to figure out how to maintain the right humidity for them. Most of my new plants, including a pink angel, polka dot plant, lucky bamboo, dragon tree, begonia rex, and peperomia verticillata, require high humidity levels. While summer is moderately humid in my room, winter tends to be quite dry. I know that using a humidifier is an option, but I want to avoid making my entire room too humid. What are some effective ways to keep my plants adequately humid?

Grouping your plants together and placing bowls of water nearby can also help increase the humidity around them naturally. As the water evaporates, it releases moisture into the air, which can be beneficial for your plants without drastically changing the humidity in the whole room.

Most modern humidifiers allow you to set specific humidity levels, which can help. If you're worried about the whole room getting too humid, you might consider placing a small humidifier directly near your plants. Just be aware that controlling humidity in an open area is tricky, so this might help to concentrate the moisture around them.

I'm thinking of going that route!

Lucky Bamboo and the dragon tree are actually pretty forgiving about humidity—even if your room isn’t super humid, they should do just fine. Most begonias can adapt to normal indoor humidity levels too. So don’t stress too much about those!
