I'm having a technician set up my LG Washer/Dryer tower in my ADU, and I'm a bit confused about the dryer connection. The installation shows a 240V outlet, but the dryer only has a panel at the back. Should I connect the wires directly from the panel to the dryer, or should I install a 240V plug (like a NEMA 14-30) and plug it into the wall instead?

You should wire a 240V 4-prong dryer cord to the back of your dryer, which can then plug into a NEMA 14-30 receptacle. It’s not safe to connect the dryer directly to the panel, so definitely go with the cord setup.
Just a heads up: no electric dryer actually comes with a cord included. You'll need to purchase one that matches your outlet style—either 3-prong or 4-prong, depending on what you have.
