I own a Delta 36-725 T2 table saw that I run off a 20 amp circuit in my garage. I'm planning to use it in another area and need to add an extension cord. How long can I safely run an extension cord without risking motor issues? I'm going to use another 12 gauge cord, but I want to be sure about the length limits.

There are quite a few charts available that can help you determine the appropriate gauge wire based on the length of your extension cord and the amp draw of your saw. If your saw came with a manual, it might even have specific recommendations for cord length and gauge. Always a good idea to check that!

Thanks for the tip! I didn't even think about checking the manual. Just for anyone else reading, I found out that a 14 AWG extension can go up to 25 ft and 12 AWG can go up to 50 ft.
