Hey everyone! I recently got a petrol lawnmower from my grandparents, and after filling it with fuel, I tried starting it. Unfortunately, it only runs for about a second before cutting out. I'm looking for any tips or advice on how to get it running properly. Thanks in advance!

Maybe just give it back to them! ? But seriously, ask if they recently replaced theirs; sometimes older models can have issues with fuel delivery if they haven't been used for a while.
It sounds like the carburettor might need some adjustments or cleaning, especially if the mower is a bit older. Sometimes the fuel filter can get blocked too, which would cause it to stall. If you're getting a spark, then that's usually a good sign! Good luck!

Haha, that's a fair point! They did just get a new one, funny enough.
