How Can I Claim Warranty on My Chainsaw Without a Receipt?

Asked By ChainsawWizard42 On

I recently encountered an issue with my 20v chainsaw, and unfortunately, it just stopped working. The problem is, I can't remember where I bought it and I don't have the receipt. Is there a way to still claim the warranty? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck with that... I've heard they can be pretty tough on warranty claims for chainsaws. Just be persistent if they push back!

Make sure to check if your kickback safety is in the right position first! I know it sounds obvious, but mine wouldn't run until I adjusted it. It jerked a bit but then stopped completely. Don't feel bad; it happens to the best of us!

Same here! Mine would move just a little before dying too. Definitely double-check that safety switch!

Just give Dewalt a call! They usually ask for the date code printed on the chainsaw. As long as you're still under warranty, you shouldn't need a receipt to get your claim processed.
