Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here, haha. I'm trying to decide whether to tackle some exterior work on our house or jump into remodeling the interior. Our siding definitely needs replacement, and while we can afford that right now, the kitchen and living room remodel would require saving up a bit more. Considering our house is a 3 bed, 3 bath split-level around 1200 sq ft, what do you think we should prioritize? My wife would find a kitchen remodel stressful, especially since she works from home, but she would love the end result. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Definitely give priority to structural needs first! If the siding has issues, fixing that will prevent bigger problems like leaks and mold later on. It's also a good idea to add exterior insulation; it can save you money on heating and cooling bills. Spend some time in the house before remodeling the kitchen to really understand your needs.
I think you might want to go with the siding first since it can be done quickly without much disruption. Plus, living in the space helps you figure out what you truly want in a kitchen remodel. Rushing that can lead to regrets later on!

We've actually lived here for 8 years, so we know what we want for the kitchen! I love the idea of adding insulation with the siding, especially since our roof was just redone in 2018.
