I'm looking to upgrade my cutting and digging shovels since I rely on them for my job. I've always used affordable tools, but now I'm willing to invest in something that will last, similar to my Falco pruners. Any suggestions on brands that offer quality at a reasonable price?

I've used a Niwaki shovel and it's been great for all my landscaping jobs. It's particularly good for drainage work and doesn't feel flimsy at all. Highly recommend if you're in the market!
If you're serious about durability, check out A.M. Leonard—they have the King of Spades shovels that are built to last. They're forged steel with a steel handle, and the company says they can last for years, even under tough conditions. Expect to pay between $100 and $150, but it's definitely worth it if you use them a lot. Just remember to keep them sharp!
Agreed! I had one at my old job, and it was by far the best digging tool I owned. Solid build!
Fiskars makes some decent shovels, but I have mixed feelings. Their products work well, but I had a bad experience with their warranty process. They refused to honor it without a receipt, even though I had an older product that broke. Just a heads up if you decide to go that route!
Yeah, I get that! I used to like Fiskars, but their quality seems to have dipped over the years.
If budget isn't a worry, Sneeboer tools are incredible. They're basically the luxury brand of shovels. If you're looking for something that's top-notch but not overly pricey, consider De Wit. They’re Dutch-made and built to last without the crazy price tag.

That's great to hear! Exactly the kind of info I needed, thanks!
